About Us

What We're About

Life is all about giving. Giving love, giving your time and giving yourself to others. We need to realise how much we have to be grateful for. We need to remember that we can make a huge difference in someone else’s life!

Spreading the Love is a non - profit organisation that was founded by Lizelle Marucchi in 2014. She started by delivering food parcels made from her own kitchen at home, to families who had lost everything overnight. With every parcel of food delivered, the need for food for more families grew by the day. She then realised she wanted to make a difference, no matter how big or small. That was when she took action and gained support and help from others, now Spreading the Love is a group of people taking hands to make a difference.

Our aim is to provide nutritious food to anyone who is hungry, whether they are struggling households, homeless, sick or vulnerable.

Vision

We believe that no Hungry Person, Baby or Child in need should ever be turned away. Our aim is to provide nutritious food to anyone who is hungry, whether they are struggling households, homeless, sick or vulnerable.

Mission

Our mission is simple, It’s all about giving. Giving love, giving of ourselves and giving the time and resources we have available.

SPREADING THE LOVE NPC FOCUSES ON THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS:

We have a Community Centre in Danville, Pretoria West, aiming to provide nutritious food to struggling households, children and the homeless.

We have a crisis house, which provides short term / overnight shelter for any children of all ages that are removed or found by SAPS and awaiting a social worker.

We have 2 Safe Havens under our care, for abandoned, abused and neglected babies and toddlers. One is situated in Danville, Pretoria West and the other in Montana, Pretoria. These Places of Safety are our pride and joy. We aim to provide a secure and happy environment for babies and toddlers in crises until they can be placed with a family, foster care or be adopted. All children are placed with us by a legal court order issued through the children’s court.
